The city of Haren (Ems) in the northwestern part of Germany with approx. 23,000 inhabitants is located directly near the German-Dutch border and has for centuries been closely associated with the shipping industry.

Not without reason does it bear the byname “shipping town”. With over 300 registered ocean-going vessels and 26 domiciled shipping companies, Haren is to Hamburg and Leer the third most important shipping location of the Federal Republic.

In addition to shipping companies, specialized companies and service providers in various maritime fields have also settled in Haren creating the perfect infrastructure for the operation of a shipping company.
